Natural moisturizing factor (NMF) was discovered by scientists back in the 60s of the XX century. Without it, the normal functioning of the skin is impossible, let alone its beauty and health. It is a combination of molecules capable of absorbing water. It consists mainly of amino acids and their metabolic products, as well as mineral elements sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, phosphates, salts of lactic acid, urea, glucosamine, glycerin, sugars, organic acids and peptides.
A peculiar "reserve" of natural moisturizing factor is contained in the intercellular substance of the epidermis. This protects the skin from excessive moisture loss when NMF levels are low in the stratum corneum. This use of reserve reserves makes it possible to maintain the condition of the skin at a normal level for a certain period of time.
